Dotty Necklace
Dotty Necklace
Fresh minty green etched glass beads combined with light emerald crystals for a summery casual necklace...

Ingredients
Beadalon 7 Strand Wire - Green
2 x Silver Plated 2x2mm Crimp Beads
18 x Swarovski Crystal 4mm Xilion Beads in Light Emerald
34 x 3mm Silver Plated Spacer Beads
17 x Mint Glass Etched Cube Beads
1 x Silver Plated Toggle (we've used these little silver plated rope toggles)
Tools: Crimping Pliers (or Chain Nose Pliers if you are going to squash your crimp beads), Side Cutters
Method
1. Begin by cutting a 60cm length of the green Beadalon 7 Strand wire
2. Fold the wire in half and thread one half of the toggle clasp onto the wire - let it fall into the halfway point on the wire and thread one crimp bead onto both strands of wire - crimp the clasp in place and you will now have two equal length strands of wire emerging from the crimp.
3. Begin threading the beads onto the wire in the pattern shown starting with a crystal - the crystals are only threaded onto one strand of wire whereas all the other beads are threaded onto both strands of wire - this creates a pattern whereby the crystal sits in the middle and floats along the wire as shown in the picture above.
4. Make sure that you leave around 1cm of wire between each of the etched glass beads and this will create a necklace that is approx 16 inches long - for a longer necklace use more beads or space the beads out further along the wire.
5. Finish by crimping the remaining end of the wire onto the other side of the toggle clasp and snip off any excess wire.
