BeadFest 2018 – The Goddess Edition

Our annual fun filled festival of all things beady!

SATURDAY 16TH JUNE 9AM - 5PM

The theme for this year’s BeadFest is “Goddesses” – Think Aphrodite, Lakshmi, Venus….any deity will do! Goddesses have been linked with virtues such as beauty, love, motherhood and fertility. Everyone who comes dressed as a Goddess (or God) will receive a goody bag & there will be a prize for the best dressed beader!

Minty the Spoilt Rotten Beads Campervan will be on show and Wild Girl Henna will be attending, so you can have a goddess themed temporary Henna Tattoo on the day!

The workshops will take place in the studio and also in the beautiful arabian marquee.

Workshop booking is now open – Please book your workshop places early to avoid disappointment & remember all workshops are FREE as your £5 booking fee is redeemable against any purchase on the day

Arabian Marquee Workshops – Special Guest – TV Personality & Designer Jem Hawkes 

Jem will be running two mini workshops across the day in the arabian marquee which you will have the opportunity to book onto:

Gaia Goddess Pendant 

During this mini workshop Jem will show you how to create this beautiful Gaia Goddess pendant. The workshop is FREE (£5 Booking Fee redeemable in store on the day). All materials are included in the workshop and use of tools too.

Times: 9am, 10am, 11am and 12 noon

Triquetra Pendant

During this mini workshop Jem will show you how to create this beautiful Triquetra pendant. The workshop is FREE (£5 Booking Fee redeemable in store on the day). All materials are included in the workshop and use of tools too.

Times: 1.15pm, 2pm, 2.45pm, 3.30pm

Brick Stitch Friendship Bracelets

During this workshop you’ll learn how to use Miyuki Delica beads to create a brick stitch motif and incorporate it into a fashionable friendship bracelet and finish it with a sliding clasp.

Beaded Daisy Chains

Learn how to make beaded daisy chains using our colourful seed bead hanks. Everyone will have a go at making a daisy chain and leave with a pattern & a pack of beads to take away so that you can finish your necklace at home.
