A moonlit gondola ride across the dark Venetian lagoon inspired Luciana.
A central pendant motif is decorated with beaded bead fringing. Luciana’, a subtle mix of crystals, pearls and seed beads with a delicate vintage finish. Made of interlinking elements, Luciana is worked in a combination of beading stitches in easy to follow steps. The necklace is a decorative beaded chain.
Skill level: advanced: confidence with thread tension; ability to cope with combining several stitches to create 3D structure.
Techniques: Albion stitch, Right Angle Weave, Netting.
Cost: £40 plus materials. Please see below for materials list, there will also be kits available to purchase on the day in three different colourways at a cost of £65 each.

An introduction to mixed media bead embroidery, the Venice cuff blends simple applique and bead embroidery with easy beading stitches for edging and covered buttons.
With a delicious assortment of vintage textiles, fine silk velvet and decorative ribbon, a curated mix of seed, bugle and accent beads, this is a great way to explore free form bead embroidery.
Skill level: anyone with basic sewing skills
Techniques: Basic sewing, bead embroidery, brick stitch edging.
Cost: £40 plus materials (see below for materials list) you are welcome to bring your own supplies but there will also a kit available to purchase a kit on the day – kits cost £50 and will be available in a variety of different colourways.
Heather Kingsley Heath
Heather is an English beadwork artist who teaches nationally and internationally. She teaches at Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s Bead&Button Show; Beader’s Best in Hamburg, Germany; the UK’s Big Bead Show; and Das Perlament in Cologne, Germany. She is the current UK Ambassador for National Beading Week.
Heather’s love of beads and colour is infectious and she has inspired and encouraged many budding designers. Her beaded jewellery is delicate, richly detailed and infinitely wearable. With designs inspired by history, heritage, vintage and treasure, her work explores the relationships between wearer and object. Heather is also known for her more experimental figurative and sculptural pieces which combine a huge range of seed beading techniques with magical wizardry to create three dimensional pieces inspired by nature and her English garden.
