Melanie De Miguel

Melanie de Miguel is an international beading designer, tutor and author. In 1999, Melanie attended the first Great British Bead Show and joined the Beadworkers Guild.

As a qualified Science teacher and a bead artist with her own designs and ideas, Melanie was encouraged by the Guild to begin teaching. Since then, Melanie has taught workshops throughout the UK, Europe and the US.

Melanie realised her designing skills really took off when she had built up a solid arsenal of beading techniques with which to attack every project. Her fascination with threadpaths and constant desire to experiment led her to create an exciting new beadwork technique – Hubble stitch about which she has now published two books.

Tudor Inspirations is the latest book to be published by Melanie in collaboration with her friend and beading colleague, Heather Kingsley-Heath, and it’s said to be a game changer for those wishing to design beadwork!

Below are just some examples of Melanie’s intricate and delicate designs –
