We no longer stock Lapis Lazuli as it is now classed as a conflict stone – sales of Lapis fund the Taliban in Afghanistan.
This Lapis Lazuli is now a “conflict stone” with 90% of the world’s Lapis coming from Taliban controlled mines in Afghanistan. Once it has been mined it is shipped to China where it is processed and then sold on to bead stores and jewellery makers all over the world – as such it is not possible to find an “ethical” source of Lapis Lazuli at this time.
Excellent service and communication , even during these difficult times. A fantastic selection of beads at really great prices. Postage cost was also low compared to others. Would certainly recommend buying from this company.
