Ingredients
1 Meter of 0.6mm Waxed Cotton Cord in Navy Blue
10 x 6mm Glass Pearls in a selecrtion of bright colours
1 x Silver Plated Box Closer & Chain
45 x Silver Plated Hill Tribe Style Spacer Beads
Tools Required: Chain Nose Pliers, Round Nose Pliers, Side Cutters
Method
1. Begin by cutting the waxed cotton cord into 4 equal lengths.
2. Using your Chain Nose Pliers crimp all four lengths of cord into one end of the box closer and tie all four cords into one knot approx 3cm from the box closer.
3. Now thread a bead cap and a pearl onto each headpin and use your Round Nose pliers to create a wire wrapped loop on the top of each headpin – snip off any excess cord using your Side Cutters.
4. Next thread the Hill Tribe spacers and the headpins onto all four strands of waxed cotton cord in a random pattern – make sure that each strand has got approximately the same number of beads on it – stagger the pearls across the strands.
5. Tie another knot in all four strands of waxed cotton pushing it close to the beads but make sure you leave enough room for the beads to move around on the cord.
6. Snip off the remaining cord approx 3cm from the last knot and use your Chain Nose Pliers to crimp the other side of the box closer onto the cord.
7 Finally thread the remaining Hill Tribe bead onto the headpin and use your Round Nose Pliers to create a wire wrapped loop to attach the bead to the chain on the box closer.
