Workshop Schedule 2017

Welcome to our 2017 Workshop Schedule. We’re very excited to be bringing you lots of new & exciting workshops this year with lots of talented tutors. This year’s workshops range from Beadwork Basics, through to Wirework, Resin, Metal Clay, Bridal Jewellery and more!

Workshops are held in our dedicated workshop studio located above our shop in the village of Haddenham near Ely & Cambridge. There is free parking right outside the shop and we provide refreshments for all attendees (freshly brewed coffee, tea and juice).

Workshops do book up fast so we recommend you book your places early to avoid disappointment.

APRIL


Saturday 1st April 10am – 2pm
Russian Spirals

Part of our Beadwork Basics series of workshops. Learn how to use pearls, firepolish and seed beads to create a Russian Spiral. Suitable for complete beginners.

Saturday 8th April 10am –2pm
April Showers Bracelet with Sue Picknell

Learn how to make this beautiful beaded bracelet using Miyuki seed beads, Bugle beads and Preciosa Pip beads with designer Sue Picknell. Suitable for beaders with an understand of basic thread tension.

Saturday 15th April 10am – 12.30pm
Introductory Jewellery Making Workshop

Come along and learn how to create beautiful jewellery. You will learn how to attach wire to a clasp by crimping, how to make wire wrapped loops and lots, lots more! The perfect introductory workshop for beginners who want to learn the basics of jewellery making.

Saturday 22nd April 10am – 4pm
Bridal Headdresses with Juliet Browse

During this one day workshop which is suitable for beginners you will make two stunning bridal headdresses. One using Swarovski crystals and Preciosa pearls and the other using wire mesh to create flowers and leaves. Suitable for beginners or for jewellery makers who would like to learn a new skill.

Saturday 6th May 10am – 1pm
Summer Netted Anklet or Necklace with Sue Picknell

Make a lacy anklet or necklace using netting and Miyuki drop beads with designer Sue Picknell. This workshop is suitable for beginners

Resin8 Keepsake Pendant Workshop with Tali Iserles 10am – 4pm

Come along and learn how to create resin keepsake pendants. You will learn how to mix and cure the resin and will create several pendants. All materials supplied including Ordinance Survey maps to set into your pendants, but do feel free to bring along any maps, photos or small pieces of glass or beads that you would like to set into your pendants. Suitable for complete beginners.

Kumihimo Cabs Workshop with Pru McRae

Learn how to encase a Lunasoft cabochon inside a kumihimo braid decorated with beads. This workshop is suitable for beginners or for more experienced kumihimo beaders who want to add to their skills.

Infinity Knot Workshop with Susie Hoad

Part of our beadwork basics series of workshops. Learn how to use cubic right angle weave to create this clever infinity knot that can be incorporated into a necklace or bracelet. Suitable for beaders with experience of basic thread tension.

Introductory Jewellery Making Workshop

Part of our intermediate beadwork series of workshops. Learn how to use cubic right angle weave and peyote to create this beautifully tactile bracelet.

Tatted Lace & Beads Bracelet with Sue Picknell

Come along and learn the traditional art of tatting and make a delicate beaded and tatted cuff in your choice of colours. This workshop is suitable for beginners who have not made jewellery before, or for more experienced beaders who would like to learn a new skill

Embellished Prumihimo Workshop with PruMcRae

Learn how to use the Pruimihimo disk to create these stunning bracelets with Pru McRae. Suitable for beginners.

Molecular Pyramids Statement Necklace with Susie Hoad

Part of our beadwork intermediate series of workshops. Learn how to use peyote to make these amazing molecular pyramids which can be strung together to create a real statement necklace.
