Bails

Bails are used for attaching pendants and beaded components to necklaces. The most common type of bail is the pinch bail which consists of two prongs that grip the pendant in place and keep it secure.

To use a pinch bail gently open the bail with your chain nose pliers and insert the prongs into the hole or loop on your pendant or charm, gently squeeze the pinch bail closed and it will hold your charm or pendant securely in place.
