Miyuki Tila beads are two-holed, flat square beads that are precision cut and manufactured by Miyuki, a well-known Japanese bead manufacturer. These unique beads are made of high-quality glass, and their uniformity in size and shape make them ideal for intricate beading projects. Tila beads have a smooth surface and a flat shape, making them perfect for creating beadweaving designs with a flat surface.
One of the unique features of Tila beads is that they have two parallel holes that run through the center of the bead, allowing for more versatile and complex beadwork designs. This unique feature enables beaders to create two-dimensional beadwork designs or stack them to create three-dimensional structures.
Tila beads come in a variety of colors, finishes, and coatings. They also come in a range of sizes, including the standard Tila bead size of 5mm x 5mm x1.9mm, as well as the Half Tila and Quarter Tila bead sizes.
These versatile beads can be used in a variety of beading techniques such as beadweaving, bead embroidery, and stringing. They can be used to create intricate patterns, geometric shapes, and designs with a flat surface, and can be combined with other Miyuki seed beads or shaped beads to create unique and personalized jewellery pieces.
