Miyuki was founded in Hiroshima, Japan, in the 1930’s and promptly became well known as a premier manufacturer of high quality glass seed beads. Japanese seed beads are the most uniform of all seed beads manufactured today and have beautifully consistent sizes and colours throughout.
Size 15 seed beads, also known as Rocailles and 15/0, are perfect for creating fine details within your bead work, such as a picot edge – which you can learn how to do here. They are great to use in your beadweaving, bead embroidery or for embellishing beadwork or textiles.
We would recommend to use a size 12 beading needle, or smaller for doing multiple passes as size 15 seed beads have a hole size of 0.7mm, the overall size of the seed bead is 1.5mm.
We stock well over 100 different colours, all of which have been hand picked to create a beautiful rainbow variety within our range, we sell our 15/0 in 5g bags which contain approximately 1900 beads.
