Ingredients

Antique Copper Three Strand Clasp

7 Strand Beadalon Wire – Copper colour

1 Pack Antique Copper Crimp Beads

Approx 30 Antique Copper Hill Tribe Style Spacers

8-10 Antique Copper Wavy Spacer Beads

6 x 7mm Antique Copper Flower Spacer Beads

Matsuno Peanut Beads – these seed beads lock together beautifully when strung onto Beadalon wire (we used matte seafoam)

For the semi-precious stones and pearls we used 4mm Amazonite Faceted Round Beads, 6mm African Turquoise Roudn Beads and 5mm Freshwater Pearl nugget shaped beads – choose any combination of three strands and then match some peanut beads to compliment the shades you have chosen.

Tools Required: Side Cutters, Chain Nose Pliers

Method

1. Cut three 36cm lengths of Beadalon 7 Strand wire in copper colour.

2. Seperate the two halves of the clasp.

3. Take one strand of Beadalon wire and thread it through the first loop on the clasp so that the clasp sits in the centre of the wire. Now take both ends of the wire and thread one crimp bead onto them (put both ends through the one crimp bead). Take the crimp bead down to the loop on the clasp and squash it with your chain nose pliers – you will now have two “strands” coming off the one clasp loop.

4. Now take both ends of wire through the hole in one copper flower bead.

5. Take one of the ends of wire and thread on the beads of your choice – take a look at the picture above and you’ll see that we used a different combination of beads and spacers on each strand, so have a play with your beads and find a pattern or combination that you like. Continue adding beads until your strand is approx 17cm long and finish by threading 3-5 crimp beads onto your strand.

6. Then take the other strand and repleat step 5.

7. Now take both beaded strands and thread them through one flower spacer and thread on one crimp bead. Take the strands through the loop on the other side of the clasp and back through the crimp bead – this will be tight as you will be threading four strands of wire through just one mini crimp bead and you may need to use your chain nose pliers to help you push the wire through. Tighten up the wires (not too tight!) and squash the crimp bead with your chain nose pliers.

8. Repeat steps 3-7 for the other 4 strands, however before you crimp these following strands you should “tangle” them up a bit by threading them through some of the strands you have already finished – this will make sure that the strands all stay sitting together and don’t seperate on the bracelet.

Here’s a picture of the clasp so that you can get a better idea of how to finish your strands:
