Macrame Hoop Earrings

You’ll need:

2 meters Brazilian Waxed Cord
2 Hoop Earring Findings
2 x 4mm Open Jump Rings
2 x Swarovski Channel Charms
Hypo Cement Glue

Begin by cutting a 70cm length of Brazilian cord and knot it to the part of the earring hoop closest to the post:

Pull tight and push up against the end of the earring finding:

Now you’re ready to begin tying your macrame knots.

Take the long end of the cord and pass it over the top of the earring hoop and then back underneath and up through the loop you just created:

Take the cord under the earring hoop and through the loop you just created:

Repeat the previous two steps until your thread is opposite the post part of the earring finding:

over and through the loop, then under and through the loop:

When your thread is opposite the post part of the earring you’re at the point where the lowest part of the earring will be when it is in the ear – this is where you want to add the charm.

When making a loop thread the charm on a jump ring onto the loop and continue tying the knots as usual:

Continue tying the knots until you reach the end of the earring finding:

Finish by adding a dab of GS Hypo cement glue to the ends of the cord, leave to dry and trim.

Repeat for the other earring.
